OEM / Custom FAQ

This FAQ is intended for clients exploring OEM / ODM camera development projects.

For retail orders and product usage questions, please visit our Retail FAQ .

Q1: What types of customization do you offer?
A: We specialize in OEM/ODM services for camera modules and finished camera products. Customization options include lens type, cable length, housing design, waterproof rating, interface type (USB, WiFi, HDMI, etc.), firmware functions, and private labeling.
Q2: What is your customization process?

A: Our typical process includes:

  1. Requirement Discussion
  2. Solution Proposal & Quotation
  3. Prototype Development
  4. Testing & Confirmation
  5. Mass Production – We work closely with clients throughout the process to ensure your product meets your exact needs.
Q3: What is your Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
A: MOQ depends on the level of customization. For simple adjustments (e.g., cable length or wire length), we can support low MOQs. For fully customized firmware or hardware changes, the MOQ is usually 1000 units.
Q4: How long does it take to complete a custom project?

A: The lead time depends on the complexity of the project.

Prototype samples: Typically 3–5 weeks

Mass production: Around 4–5 weeks after sample approval

We will confirm a detailed schedule based on your specific requirements.

Q5: Can I use my own brand (private label)?
A: Yes, we support private label printing, customized packaging, and brand-specific UI design.
Q6: Do you offer software or mobile app development?
A: Yes, we provide end-to-end software and app customization services. SDKs and source code are not included in our service scope. Only the compiled application builds — APK (for Android) and IPA (for iOS) — will be delivered.
Q7: Can you help with product certifications?
A: Yes, we can assist in applying for CE, FCC, RoHS, and other certifications. We also have experience working with clients in different regions with specific compliance needs.
Q8: Do you sign NDAs or offer exclusive agreements?
A: Absolutely. We respect your business confidentiality. NDAs and exclusivity agreements are available upon request.
Q9: Are OEM/ODM projects exclusive? Will customized products be offered to third parties or sold as off-the-shelf products?

A: Yes. All OEM/ODM development projects are client-specific.

Once a project is confirmed under a mutual NDA, the customized solution will not be offered to third parties, not sold as off-the-shelf products, and will remain exclusive to the client.

We respect our clients’ product strategies and business confidentiality.

Q10: What is delivered in an OEM development project? Do you provide PCB files, firmware source code, or mobile app source code?

A: In a typical OEM/ODM project, our primary deliverable is a fully functional hardware product customized for your application, ready for pilot run and mass production.

Typical deliverables may include:

  • Customized camera hardware (module/assembly as defined)
  • Integrated firmware (pre-installed and ready to use)
  • Mobile app deliverables (if included in the scope): compiled builds only — APK (Android) and IPA (iOS), including private-label branding as agreed. We can also publish the apps under your developer account (preferred) or ours, as agreed, and provide maintenance during our cooperation.
  • Hardware-level documentation for hardware integration and production, such as pinout/wiring information, mechanical drawings, specifications, labeling/packing requirements, and production/test instructions
  • PCB design files (Gerber/PCB layout) only if explicitly agreed in the project scope and commercial terms

Please note:

  • Firmware source code and mobile app source code are not included in our standard deliverables.
  • The device works with our mobile app via a proprietary communication protocol and does not provide a public/open streaming interface for third-party access. Therefore, we do not provide API/SDK, protocol descriptions, or app–device interface documentation for third-party integration.
  • We deliver a validated embedded solution (hardware + tested builds), rather than software as standalone deliverables.
Q11: How do we communicate during an OEM/ODM project?

A: We support communication via email, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, and WeChat, depending on the client’s preference.

For technical discussions, clients are welcome to include their engineering team members to ensure efficient and accurate communication throughout the project.
